2026 Independence Day Parade of
Sunday Schools & Churches?
The Friends of Gorgas Park invite nonprofit orgs and family groups to march with us in the 2026 Independence Day Parade of Sunday Schools & Churches. You can march on your own auspices with a banner or sign or with the Friends of Gorgas Park.
There is no fee, but nonprofit orgs and family groups who wish to march with us must register online. Those who sign up will be given a small American flag to carry along the parade route. After the parade, return the flag for a free hot dog & beverage and a reserved seat at America's 250th Birthday Party in Gorgas Park where the fun continues.
Online registration will close Friday, June 26
or when we meet capacity.

Gorgas Park will be decked out in red, white, and blue. It will be the perfect spot to celebrate the 4th of July with friends and neighbors with live music & birthday cake.
