The 21st Ward Veterans Association invites members, local veterans, friends, family, and neighbors to attend the Annual Veterans Tribute Concert & Picnic. This special free event is open to both veterans and the community.​​​

In addition to the Gorgas Park playground, there will be craft activities for children -- so bring the whole family! It's a wonderful opportunity for your children/grandchildren to meet veterans, express their appreciation, and learn about service to our country while enjoying a day of fun and celebration together.​

Special Guests - The Phillie Phanatic and a bald eagle from the Elmwood Park Zoo ... and of course the local veterans we've gathered to honor.

Patriotic Music Concert - Enjoy a rousing medley of patriotic favorites performed live by the renowned Merion Concert Band.

Classic Cars - Marvel at a stunning display of classic automobiles brought by The Roxborough Ridge Runners.

Food & Beverages - Food and refreshments will be available for purchase by the public throughout the event.​

BBQ - Sample delicious bites from the famous Bam Bam Food Truck.

Invitation & Benefits for Veterans & First Responders

The 21st Ward Veterans Association extends a free invitation to all veterans living in local veterans homes and senior living centers to join us -- veterans do NOT need not be a member of the 21st Ward Veterans Association to attend. Your service and sacrifice are the cornerstones of this tribute, and we would be honored to have you join us.
This event is FREE for all registered veterans & first responders.

​Registered Veterans get VIP Benefits including a special wristband which gives them access to VIP seating and complimentary food & beverages throughout the celebration.
​​​​
Registered Veterans should arrive before 10 a.m. to allow time for special recognition and to receive your VIP wristband. Early arrival ensures you don't miss out on any of the events or activities.

Organizations Invited to Participate
​
Local nonprofit, civic, government, and community organizations are invited host an information table at the event and participate in the activities. This is a great opportunity to share details about your organization and connect with both veterans and neighbors.
There is no charge to participate; however, organizations must register in advance and provide their own table and chairs.
Note: To keep the event focused on community resources, sales and solicitations are NOT PERMITTED. Organizations are welcome to distribute informational materials and promotional items. ​
