4th of July Association
The 21st Ward 4th of July Association is comprised of member churches from the Roxborough, Manayunk, Wissahickon, and Andorra neighborhoods of Philadelphia. The Association is responsible for upholding the nearly 200 year tradition of the Independence Day Parade of Sunday Schools & Churches and related activities continues.

Veterans Association
The 21st Ward Veterans Association is responsible for the annual Veteran Tribute Concert & Picnic.
OUR MISSION is to coordinate community veterans activities in the 21st ward. We are honored to include the membership past and present members of:

RMWHS created this website in 2026 to support the local Independence Day events sponsored and organized by the 21st Ward 4th of July Association, the 21st Ward Veterans Association, and the friends of Gorgas Park as well as share local history, images, and more from the RMWHS Archive.
Additional content from RMWHS will be included as the site continues to evolve.
OUR MISSION is to collect, document, and preserve, the local history, art, and culture of this area of Pennsylvania. We are dedicated to the advancement of historical information, education, collection, documentation, and preservation of books, maps, images, genealogies, manuscripts, objects, and memorabilia related to Roxborough, Manayunk, Wissahickon and the surrounding communities.

Gorgas Park
The Friends of Gorgas Park organized and sponsored the 250th Birthday Party at Gorgas Park in 2026.
OUR MISSION is to restore, maintain, and enhance Gorgas Park as a vibrant community resource, and to strengthen the community through environmental stewardship, cultural events, and volunteer engagements.
We welcome new members & volunteers.
